I was born to write. I have been writing for fun as long as I can remember, from early teen poetry to short stories. I finally took writing "seriously" in college when I chose Journalism as my major. I've been following people around (somtimes chasing them) asking questions and writing about them ever since. I love to see what makes people tick.
About Me

- I'm an experienced journalist and freelance writer. I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in English from Iowa State University. I worked as a reporer throughout college and for an additional 12 years after graduation. I left the news business in 2000 and have continued to freelance. I worked for five yeas as a freelance writer for Mayo Health System in Rochester, MN. I currently work at the largest health department in North Central Iowa, where I am employed as the Public Information Officer. In my free time, I write children's books, travel stories and short stories. It is my dream to see them published! I enjoy gardening, exercising, spending time with my husband, our children and our friends and family. I love to travel and meet new people.
